Jeff Colwell | Marina Manager
When The Marina at Water Valley was in search of an experienced manager to operate its guided fishing and outdoor water sports activities, they looked no further than Jeff Colwell.
“I love the building and enhancing of top-notch fisheries and look forward to the future years here at The Marina at Water Valley, which is a Colorado paradise,” he said.
A native of Loveland, Jeff has guided hunters and fishermen for over 30 years and operates his own Windsor-based waterfowl hunting business – Front Range Guide Service – in the fall and winter months. He also has experience as a fishing manager at Sportsman’s Warehouse in Loveland and is on the pro staff for Scheels while competing in bass tournaments on the local and professional levels across the nation. He’s achieved numerous high and first place finishes on the local level, T.B.F., Colorado B.A.S.S. and the MLF.
Jeff has a passion for Christ, family, the outdoors, hunting, and fishing and “is thrilled to get the opportunity to utilize all of these in my job.”
Jeff also mentioned he would enjoy the opportunity to meet and guide both experienced and novice anglers at The Marina at Water Valley in not only fishing, but in the many water sports opportunities the venue offers.
Jeff lives in Windsor with his wife Debbie and has two older sons, Colton, and Logan, who both share his passion for the outdoors.
Chantelle Barrett | Marina Office Manager
Chantelle Barrett joined The Marina at Water Valley as the Office Manager in fall 2023.Chantelle is a native Californian and has lived in Water Valley since 2006. Her adventurous spirit has encouraged her to remain, “excited to engage in The Water Valley Company and the vision they have for this most unique and fast-developing community.”
Prior to joining with The Marina, Chantelle had a career with The Los Angeles Police department as a Police Officer. Upon moving to Colorado, Chantelle started a new career in education as a School Librarian. Chantelle’s background has given her a wide range of experiences and scenarios working with people of all walks of life and has a passion for serving the community.
In the summer of 2023, Chantelle was a supervisor for The Marina. She loved getting to experience all that the summer weather had to offer while interacting with guests daily. She thoroughly enjoyed working with The Water Valley Company. Chantelle sought continued employment with them which then led her to assume a prominent position in the launch of Hoedown Hill.
Chantelle has 3 beautiful children. A daughter who is a nurse in California, a son at School of Mines and her youngest daughter who is barista and Junior at Windsor High School. Chantelle is energized by her faith, family, and hard work. Throughout everything, these remain priorities in her life.
Walker Cameron | Assistant Marina Manager
Walker grew up in Water Valley in Windsor and has spent many hours fishing the lakes and researching the best practices for catching all of the species that call these waters home. “One of my favorite catches was a 14½-pound wiper on a 6-inch swim bait.
“He is an outdoorsman who hunts, fishes, and competes in shooting sports. His favorite discipline is target archery. He competes in tournaments locally, regionally, and nationally and also helps others set up their equipment for precision accuracy.
Walker loves sharing his passion for being on the lake and watching others get excited about a successful day or night spent out on the water. He has experience with all types of fishing, including bowfishing, and is excited to guide anglers of all skill levels.
Christian Jorgensen | Owner Mountain Rentals
Christian Jorgensen is the owner of Mountain Rentals, and his team will be your guide to Wakeboat and Hydrafoil fun. Christian is a Colorado Native and lived in Northern Colorado almost his entire life. Mountain Rentals and Water Valley now partner for Winter and Summer, and are the perfect combination for your outdoor cravings.
